dc.description.abstractSon yıllarda Covid-19 Pandemisi, iklim değişiklikleri, dünyadaki siyasi gelişmeler, savaşlar ve dünya nüfusundaki artış gibi nedenler, gıda arz güvenliği problemini tartışmaya açmıştır. Artan nüfus yanında iklim değişiklikleri de insanların güvenli gıdaya ulaşmasını engellemeye başlamış, talepteki artışa karşı gıda arz yetersizliği ortaya çıkmıştır. Tüm dünyayı etkilediği gibi Türkiye için de sorun teşkil eden gıda arz güvenliği konusu, Türkiye açısından ele alınmaktadır. Her ne kadar iklim değişikleri gıda arz güvenliğini etkilemiş olsa da Türkiye'nin yapısal problemleri de bu çerçevede analize dahil edilmektedir. Küresel gıda güvenlik endeksi puanları incelendiğinde, Türkiye ülke performansının kalite ve güvenlik konusunda iyi performansta, uygun fiyat konusunda zayıf performansta olduğu görülmektedir. Türkiye'nin gıda güvenlik değerlerini sürdürülebilir kılmak için gıda fiyatlarının, uygun fiyatlı ve istikrarlı hale getirilmesi gerekmektedir. Türkiye'nin 1989-2022 yıllık veri seti ile yapılan ARDL analizi ile gıda üretim endeksi üzerinde, enflasyonun, gıda ithalatının, toplam nüfus sayısı ve yıllık ortalama sıcaklık değerlerinin etkileri incelenmiştir. Analiz sonuçlarımızda değişkenler arasında uzun dönemli ve anlamlı ilişki olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Enflasyon, ithalat ve nüfus, gıda üretim endeksini pozitif yönde etkilerken, sıcaklık değişkeni ise negatif yönde etkilemektedir.
dc.description.abstractIn recent years, Covid-19 Pandemic, climate changes, political reasons such as developments, wars and increase in world population have brought the problem of food supply security into discussion. In addition to the increasing population, climate changes have also begun to prevent people from accessing safe food, resulting in insufficiency of food supply despite the increasing demand. The issue of food supply security, which affects the whole world as well as poses a problem for Turkey, is addressed from Turkey's perspective. Although climate changes have affected food supply security, Turkey's structural problems are also included in the analysis within this framework. When the global food safety index scores are examined, it is seen that Turkey has a good performance in terms of quality and safety, but a poor performance in terms of affordability. In order to make food safety values sustainable, food prices must be made affordable and stable. With the ARDL analysis conducted with Turkey's 1989-2022 annual data set, the effects of inflation, food imports, total population number and annual average temperature values on the food production index were examined.Our analysis results concluded that there is a long-term and significant relationship between the variables. Inflation, imports and population affect the food production index positively, while the temperature variable affects it negatively.
