BER Analysis on LWT-based MIMO-OFDM Systems using DP antenna Arrays

Özet

In this paper, in order to improve system performance in terms of bit error rate, we propose a combination of lifting wavelet transform (LWT) and MIMO (Multiple-input Multiple-Output) which is a transmission system increasing the requiremets of spectral efficiency and data rates of communnication systems. Due to its low-complexity, a linear detector, mainly based on Zero-Forcing (ZF) is used for both 2X2 and 4X4 MIMO systems over AWGN and kroenecker-based correlated Rayleigh channels. Employing binary phase-shift keying (BPSK) for Spatial-Multiplexing, we use izotropic antennas at both the transmitter and the receiver sides. In order to obtain the best performance, Monte Carlo simulations are performed for both the proposed system and the conventional MIMO system. It is observed that significant improvements were observed for MIMO-LWT compared to the conventional system.
