dc.description.abstract | In this study, a new optical OFDM system that does not use Hermitian symmetry is proposed to increase the band efficiency of the Flip-OFDM system, which is one of the most important optical OFDM techniques. The proposed optical OFDM system consists of the combination of the Hermitian symmetry-free Flip-OFDM and the time division multiplexing method (HS-Less Flip-OFDM). Computer simulation studies are carried out to test the numerical results obtained with the proposed optical OFDM system and to compare optical OFDM methods such as classical VLC-OFDM, classical Flip-OFDM, ACO-OFDM and DCO-OFDM. From the obtained numerical results, it is understood that the proposed HS-Less Flip-OFDM system provides a band efficiency of 50% against the classical Flip-OFDM and DCO-OFDM techniques and 75% against the ACO-OFDM technique without sacrificing BER performance. © 2022 IEEE. | |
