Yöntem: Araştırma tanımlayıcı olarak yapılmıştır. Araştırmaya 325 ebeveyn katılmıştır. Kişisel Bilgi Formu, Cinsel Eğitime Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği (CEYTÖ), Çocukluk Çağı Olumsuz Yaşantılar Ölçeği (ÇÇOYÖ) kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Çalışmaya katılan ebeveynlerin %86,8’i anne, %13,2’si babadır. Ebeveynlerin yaş ortalaması 36,55±6,00’dır. Çocuklara verilecek ilk cinsel sağlık eğitiminin 4-6 yaş arasında verilmesini uygun gören ebeveynlerin oranı %40,3’tür. Ebeveynlerin CEYTÖ toplam puan ortalamaları 139,80±12,31, ÇÇOYÖ toplam puan ortalaması 1,50±1,93’tür. Eğitim seviyesi arttıkça cinsel eğitime yönelik olumlu tutum artmaktadır (pAbstract Aim: The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between parents' experiences of maltreatment during childhood and their attitudes towards sexual education. Method: The research was conducted descriptively. A total of 325 parents participated in the study. Findings: Of the parents who participated in the study, 86.8% were mothers and 13.2% were fathers. The mean age of the parents was 36.55±6.00 years. The percentage of parents who find it appropriate to provide the first sexual health education to children between the ages of 4-6 is 40.3%. The mean total score of parents on the Attitude Towards Sexual Education Scale (ATSES) was 139.80±12.31, and the mean total score on the Childhood Adverse Experiences Scale (CAES) was 1.50±1.93.
