Çağatay, Kubulay2025-04-162025-04-162018https://hdl.handle.net/20.500.14440/1110The aim of this study is to determine some physical and mechanical properties of the staypack material obtained from the hot pressed eastern beech (Fagus orientalis Lipsky) wood that arranged with tangent to annual rings and 45 degrees angle to annual rings. For this purpose, test samples were prepared from the eastern beech wood, which was used in an old furniture. Half of the prepared samples were pressed in the hot press at 150 ° C and 100 bar pressure for 45 minutes. Air dry moisture, air dry and oven dry densities, the compression set ratio, the compression set recovery ratio, the bending strength and the modulus of elasticity, the compression strength values of the prepared samples were determined.
