Öğe Eğitim Mekanlarında Kullanılan Duvar Bandı Renklerinin Öğrencilerin Algısal Değerlendirmeleri Üzerindeki Etkileri(3rd International Symposium on Innovative Approaches in Scientific Studies (ISAS 2019)), 2019) Çağatay, Kubulay; Yücel, Kemal Selçuk; Canger, Emin MuratBu araştırmada, eğitim mekânlarında kullanılan farklı renklerdeki (kırmızı ve mavi) duvar bandlarının öğrencilerin algısal değerlendirmeleri üzerindeki etkilerinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu sonuçlar, eğitim mekanlarının tasarımında sınıf bandı renginin öğrencilerin algısal değerlendirmeleri üzerinde etkili olduğunu göstermektedir.,In this study, it was aimed to determine the effects of wall bands of different colors (red and blue) used in educational spaces on students' perceptual evaluations. For this purpose, Ankara University Development Foundation Private Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School education classes were selected as the research environment. Semantic differentiation scale consisting of 10 adjective pairs was used to determine the perceptual evaluations of the students about the classes that used two different colored wall band. According to the results obtained with the help of the scale, it is determined that the class where the red colored wall band is used is perceived and perceived more positively than the blue colored wall band. In addition, it is seen that male students have a more positive approach in perceiving the environmental factors of the classes compared to female students. These results show that the color of the classroom band in the design of the educational spaces has an effect on the perceptual evaluations of the students.Öğe Evaluation of the Effect of Nasal Septal Deviation and Concha Bullosa on Maxillary Sinus Volume by Cone Beam Computed Tomography(2023) Yalvaç, Beyza; Akyol, Rıdvan; Kaygısız Yiğit, Meryem; Dilek, Fatma; Canger, Emin MuratPurpose: The aim of this study was to examine, using cone beam computed tomography images, the direction and severity of nasal septal deviation as well as the relationship between the presence of concha bullosa with maxillary sinus volume. Materials and Methods: : In this retrospective study, images of 50 individuals who had been referred for cone beam computed tomography imaging for a variety of reasons were used. Age, gender, the direction and severity of the nasal septal deviation, and the presence and types of concha bullosa, were all investigated. The maxillary sinus volume was calculated using the Simplant Pro 16 program (Materialise NV, Leuven, Belgium). SPSS v.22 software was used for all statistical analyses. The statistical significance level was accepted as p<0.05. Results: In the study, cone beam computed tomography images of 50 individuals (29 women and 21 men) were analyzed. Age and mean maxillary sinus volume correlated negatively, weakly, and statistically significantly. There was a statistically significant difference between maxillary sinus volume the values men and women. It was also demonstrated that there was no significant relationship between the right and left maxillary sinus volumes and the nasal septal deviation direction or the existence of concha bullosa. Conclusions: The findings of this study showed that nasal septal deviation and concha bullosa had no effect on maxillary sinus volume. The maxillary sinus volume and increasing age were found to be negatively correlated. It was found that maxillary sinus volume was higher in men than in women.Öğe How Available are Panoramic Radiographs in the Diagnosis of Interproximal Caries? A Study with Dental Students and Dentists(Ondokuz Mayıs Üniversitesi, 2023) Yiğit, Meryem Kaygısız; Akyol, Rıdvan; Yalvaç, Beyza; Dilek, Fatma; Canger, Emin MuratPurpose: It was aimed to investigate the usability of panoramic radiographs without bitewing radiographs in the diagnosis of interproximal caries and to compare the performance of trainee dentists and dentists in the diagnosis of interproximal caries on panoramic radiographs. Material and Method: 20 4th grade, 20 5th grade students studying at Erciyes University Faculty of Dentistry and 20 general dentists were included in the study. In the study, images of 11 individuals who had both panoramic and bitewing taken on the same day within the indication in 2020 were used. Initially, radiographs were evaluated by three Oral, Dental and Maxillofacial Radiology research assistants, and caries on the interproximal surfaces of posterior teeth were recorded with a consensus on bitewing radiographs. Second, the participants who agreed to participate in the study evaluated only the panoramic radiographs and coded the lesions at the interfaces of the premolar and molar teeth as “0”, “1”, “2”, and “3” according to their depth. Statistical analyzes were performed with SPSS v.22 software. Results: Dentists were the most successful in terms of correct evaluation of teeth in terms of the presence or absence of caries (80.52%). This was followed by class 5 (67.29%) and class 4 (60.12%) students. (pÖğe Management of Ameloblastoma with Different Imaging Modalities(2020) Kış, Hatice Cansu; Coşgunarslan, Aykağan; Canger, Emin Murat; Etöz, Meryem; Deniz, KemalAmeloblastoma is a benign epithelial odontogenic tumour. Its exact etiology is still unknown. It develops from the remnants of the dental lamina and dental epithelium. It is most frequently observed in the angulus-ramus region of the mandible. The prognosis of ameloblastoma depends on the age of the patient, size and expansion of the tumour, the location of the lesion and histological type. Current diagnostic investigations include clinical examination, histological evaluation and many imaging techniques from conventional x-ray radio-graphs to Positron Emission Tomography-Computed Tomography (PET-CT). It is vital to utilize advanced imaging methods for preoperative diagnosis, surgery planning, and postoperative follow-up. However, panoramic radiographs which give an advantage concerning dose provides limited information to follow up patients due to artefacts. Ultrasonography may show promise to detect any recurrent or relapse at follow-up period.Öğe Orta nitelikli konutların pencere özelliklerinin belirlenmesi üzerine bir araştırma(Online Journal of Art and Design, 2018) Çağatay, Kubulay; Yücel, Kemal Selçuk; Canger, Emin MuratBu araştırmada, konut pencerelerinin parapet yüksekliği, pencere açılış şekli, kullanılan kilit sistemi gibi özellikleri ilekatılımcıların bu yönde istek ve memnuniyet durumlarının belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Methods: Ninety two patients were followed up for observation. After passing neurological examinations, the Unified Parkinson Disease Rating Scale (UPDRS), Hoehn / Yahr Scale (H&Y), Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE), Tinetti test, Berg Balance test, 6 m walking test, step count, 360° turning duration, and Functional Independence Measure (FIM) were applied. All cases were evaluated according to the “on” period. Results: Forty one females and 51 males participated in the study. The duration of time it took to turn right was 8.22 ± 6.26 seconds, and the time it took to turn from left was 8.51 ± 6.63 sec. There appeared to be no statistical difference in the turn times of patients either in terms of the socio-economic factors of gender, education level, or employment status. But, statistically significant relationships were found when it came to in both directions, age, duration of illness, UPDRS, FIM, Tinetti, the Berg Test, the walking test, and the number of steps taken. Conclusion: Our results suggest that 360 degree turning performance in mild and moderate stage PD is strongly associated with patient’s age, disease duration and disease severity.
