Evaluation of temporomandibular disorder and oral health-related quality of life in adolescents with parents’ divorce applying to the orthodontic clinic

Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the effects of parents’ divorce on temporomandibular disorders (TMDs) and quality of life in adolescents. Methods: The study was conducted with 200 patients (124 female, 76 male), 98 of whom had married parents, and 102 of whom had divorced parents. The mean age of the patients was 16.17 ± 1.42 years. The study was a questionnaire study, and Fonseca Questionnaire and Oral Health Impact Profile-14 (OHIP-14) forms were used.
