In this paper, it was proposed a new multicarrier modulation scheme, based on lifting wavelet transform for coherent optical communication systems. This new wave scheme used the energy compaction property of lifting wavelet transform that provides low leakage in subcarriers. The aim of this paper is to investigate the relationship between energy consumption, financial development, and economic growth in the case of the G7 economies and emerging market economies. To this end, the role of the banking sector, as well as data from both the stock and the bond market, are explicitly used to proxy financial development.
